KMA office

Location:
Escazú, San José, C.R.
Size:
195 m2
Date:
2006

The spatial proposal given to the office of Katia Martén Arquitectos is based on an optimal functional scheme. Here, the aesthetics, materials used, and the interaction between the various activities carried out within the space, allow its people to freely engage in the creative process of their work.

A circular lamp composed of a silver foil is suspended in the middle of the central space to illuminate the office. The concrete exposed ceiling frames three wooden covered beams to highlight the double height and to create a visual impact. In this office, internal divisions were not incorporated beyond the meeting room wall which is integrated through large glass windows, thus creating a single working space where every activity and every person compliments the other.
